Thank you so much for the star ratings and reviews on
iTunes. There was a new review by

I thought you might like to see where I sit and knit when it is too cold out on the porch. That is my Acer Cardigan on the ottoman. |
There was in fact, so much feedback on last week’s show
about ribbings that I’m going to put that topic on hold for a future episode
because I have to do some research.
I also received an email from June Hemmons Hiatt author of
The Principles of Knitting! (with her permission)
Paula:
I enjoy listening to your podcast and I was so pleased to
know you found the discussion about ribbing in my book The Principles of Knitting
useful; thank you for sharing the information with your listeners. The
difference between Single and Double Rib is subtle; the latter is deceptive
because it seems so nice and springy when first knit!
Since you and your listeners have ribbing on the mind, I
thought I'd write with a few suggestions for additional information you might
also find worthwhile…(to be continued) ~~June Hemmons Hiatt
I will be sharing soon!

The Mistake! |
Dropping down to the mistake |
30 minutes later it was fixed. |
Tips for fixing when you have to
drop down and pick up a boatload
- Use dpn’s
- Mark cable
rows with pieces of scrap yarn as you drop down
- Stay calm

Thanks for another great podcast
Paula! I enjoy knitting socks too. I started out on dpn’s….then magic loop and
I have pretty much settled on 2 circs. I was interested in the karbone
needles…glad you did the review. I received some signatures for Xmas and they
are wonderful. However, I still love all my Knitpicks too. So, with all these
needles here and there I think you should add needle storage to a upcoming
podcast! :-)
Accordian Style document case
available in office supply stores. Mainly
for circulars.
Place for labels, toss needles in
compartment, fairly handy to grab.
Case for my favorite needles
How to organize swatches? That is an issue for me.
Do you have suggestions?

As always I enjoyed this episode. I agree with you, "The Art of Hearing Heartbeats" is a great story. I listened to the audible production which was wonderful. The reader was excellent.

I've already marked my calendar for a November East Coast retreat! This would be great - count me in! Thanks everyone involved for looking into pulling it together.
I remember the first time that I dropped down a cable. I was lucky it was in Sheepswool, but I did as you did, dropping all the cable stitches down to the mistake then knitting the cable back up with DPN's. I felt so proud ;)
