I must have heard your band playing Crags of Tumbledown Mountain at Waukesha. I have a soft spot in my heart for that tune. It's one of the first I ever played. I piped for a brief time in my teenage years in a Scottish high school marching band called The Imperial Scots. The story I was told was, we were the first band in the U.S. to have been given the music for it. We played it in 1984, only a short time after it was written. I have a friend on Wake and District Pb, also from my old marching band, and they not only play it, but have written a 4th part for it. It's a nice tune with a lot of fond memories.
Working on a pair of kilt hose that I'm making up a pattern for, that I've dubbed Bells of Dunblane, and a sweater for my oldest daughter made from a bicycle mohair on size 11 DAN's. A bit difficult to get used to.
