It seems that Maryland Sheep and Wool may be the oldest
festival of its kind in the U.S.
Hi Paula!
I love your podcast, and am a regular listener.
In one of your podcasts, you state that the New York Sheep
and Wool Festival is the oldest in the country. It may be one of the
oldest, but I think that honor would have to go to the Maryland Sheep and Wool
Festival, which started in 1974.
I could be wrong about that, there may be one even older,
but I did look it up on the internet. The NYSWF claims to have started in 1980,
and MS&W says it started in 1974.
