Pebble Socks
by Mina Phillip
If short row heel doesn’t fit the foot try using more than
the traditional 50% of total stitches. I was reading up on Short row heels and
in Sock Architecture, Lara Neels says that Lucy Neatby says up to 60%. So if
you have a 64 st socks then you could work the heel over 36 instead of 32.
I was multi tasking when I finished the first sock and did
the toe from Susan B Anderson’s Smooth Operator Socks. Rather than taking it
out I did the same thing on the second sock. The toes are very similar and it
was not intentional to switch.

2016 Review—
I’m going to add the Butterfly and Cocoon to the list for
2016 since I finished it in the year. 61 projects and 1 design.
In The Pipeline
Susan who is Guerne reminded us that getting the magazine
spiral bound is a good idea. I did find it a little tricky to knit from the
bound magazine. For about $5 you can have it bound.

Brew me a cup for a winter’s night.

Spice it with love and stir it with care,

You have a very sweet granddaughter. Isn't it wonderful to have a new little person in your family? I know we really enjoy our grandsons.
Your grandbaby is so cute!!! I had the Clara dress on my list four years ago (saw it on Alicia Paulson's blog) for my baby who was due in April 2013 if he or she turned out to be a girl. Well, he's a boy, so no Clara, although I've knit so many sweet things for him since then. :)
I should also ask-- I have always liked the color of yellow you have on your walls in your photos. Would you mind telling me what brand and color it is? Our off-white walls are showing every fingerprint of a 3-year-old boy, as you might imagine. :)
Just posted that comment about my little guy and the wall color-- and I forgot to add: I'm bookaholic13 on Ravelry. :)
Love the look on her face--discovering the butterfly! Great grandparent photo in front of the tree, too! The dress on her is just adorbs!!!
